Strategy
Deck Traits: You want to draw many cards, and pivot smartly (You're okay with making sacrifices and aim to win games 3-2) ... however, because of this the deck is INCREDIBLY consistent and can outplay any matchup.
Early Game: Start with Sigilyph or Mew EX as a wall, and build up an Abra line on the bench.
- If you start w/ Abra in hand, use Professor's Research, Poke Ball and Mythical Slab to draw into Sigilyph and Mew EX.
- Be wary of Sabrina's so you usually want 2 bench 'mons.
- If you start with Mew, DON'T invest (you will want to Budding-out), if you start w/ Sigilyph, take advantage of the extra card-draw per turn. You are OKAY with sacrificing Sigilyph.
- The goal of this deck is to draw into all your solutions, and build Alakazam / Mew on the bench so when combat engages, you can easily sweep 3 points from them without losing all 3 of yours.
- Because Alakazam is non-EX, you're okay with getting kills (will likely get you 2 points, and only sometimes will you lose one)... ultimately this leaves you in a 2-2 place (usually).
- BUT, because you have Mew or another Alakazam line built up on the bench, you easily win the 3rd point.
- As such, you DO NOT want to lose Mew EX until you've already lost 2 points, then Mew can sweep for value. Of course, there are also cases where Mew can win off the spot, it's case-by-case for every opponent: hence, "can outplay any matchup"
The card-draw makes this deck incredibly consistent, and Alakazam is VERY strong. Build up, don't worry about points (many times you'll be losing 0-2... but ultimately win 3-2) FOCUS on big-picture!
Good luck!
