Strategy

(Title is because I went through a phase where all my decks were named and themed after the various crime syndicates in pokémon- I have since moved on but this deck, as it has evolved and changed, kept the name because I think it's funny)

This is honestly, probably, the weirdest deck I've made. The list, just from looking at it, looks like bulls**t. But ... have faith, okay? It's actually pretty good. It's also about as close as I'll come at this point to playing the "meta." Buckle up.

FIRST: RUN FIRE/WATER FOR ENERGY SINCE THIS DECK HAS DRUDDIGON AND THE REST IS COLORLESS

ONE MORE TIME

RUN FIRE/WATER FOR ENERGY SINCE THIS DECK HAS DRUDDIGON AND THE REST IS COLORLESS

General notes:

  • Porygon is great for peeking at your deck before using a Pokéball/Oak, but not much else
  • Promo Jigglypuff is a must-have as it is incredibly useful for stalling with a one energy sleep
  • Kangaskhan is a great cheap damage option but tough to pull back so be careful when using it
  • Tauros is a bit more consistent and easier to retreat, it's nice to have the option despite needing an additional energy
  • Lickitung is here almost entirely for the memes, I actually gambled an entire match outcome on a Lickitung attack while testing this deck just because I think the card is funny (I lost- but I knew the risks going in)
  • Aerodactyl, as in the other deck I use that features it, is here generally to cause chaos and mess with your opponent's plan while you set up Druddigon and Wigglytuff (Oh, you were gonna flip ten coins with your Celebi Ex? That is gonna be hard to do now that I flipped one coin and put it back in your deck!)
  • Druddigon is your main midgame fighter, try to stall with Kangas/Tauros/Aero and Jigglypuff while you get its energy set up (The Rough Skin ability can also have kill potential in a pinch)
  • Wigglytuff is your lategame wincon, stall with whatever you can until you get this online, the damage + sleep combo should be enough to pull the game out if you get this far

The rest is pretty standard fare in terms of items and suppporters. Please do leave a comment if you tried this deck and enjoyed it!
