Strategy

Marowak EX was initially accompanied by Dugtrio because of its low retreat cost and damage prevention with Dig. However, since Promo Mankey has been introduced, Marowak EX can be paired with hard-hitter that allows you to inflict heavy damage from second turn, no matter what Pokémon you open the battle with. Quick offensive can be successful against decks that require little more time to prepare for heavy attacks. 

Depends on your opening hand, you can start the fight with either:

  • Cubone, with its -20 damage deduction. It helps to evolve into Marowak EX with little to no HP loss, and from then onwards you can try to one-hit your opponents with successful Boomerang attacks
  • Promo Mankey, who inflict 10 damage to itself, to lay groundworks for overwhelming 100 damage from Primeape's Fight Back attack

Utility cards, like Giovanni, Sabrina or X Speed are included to help you get advantage over your opponent.
